This amazing XG edition of A New Leaf has been given more attention to detail than ever, ensuring a stronger, safer, and more moving experience.

A New Leaf XG is specifically designed to be safe for riders up to 550lbs. The attention to detail in every part of the design will enable you to move SAFELY, comfortably and easily around town –on paved roads, local bike paths, or gravel trails. As with our other custom-designed and built ZIZE Bikes, these have a weight capacity of 550 pounds, aircraft-quality chromoly steel frames, hydraulic disc brakes, double-bolted seat posts, and custom-built wheels. Built for years of use, each component is selected for significantly higher strength and durability.

The Frame and Fork

At ZIZE Bikes, we started with a frame and fork that will hold you, no matter what. The benefit of using aircraft-grade chromoly steel for our frame and fork is that it is exceptionally strong, long-lasting and lighter than regular steel. This provides the strength and comfort ZIZE Bikes always provides.

The Drive Train with Newly Added External Gears

New external gears have been added to all the XG models to make for an even smoother shifting experience. It is one of the features of the ZIZE Bikes’ Yonder model that so many of our customers have loved. As you will see in the SPECIFICATIONS tab, the reliable Shimano Altus drivetrain provides 9 gears that shift smoothly on both city streets and bike trails. Among our other quality drive-train components, the high-strength crank is a must for A New Leaf XG. It can withstand the increased pedaling force from a heavy rider, making a typical fail-point on standard bikes a non-issue for ZIZE Bikes’ riders.

Tires

The tires on the ZIZE Bikes are another important feature that are designed to hold you and give you confidence. 36 spokes and double-wall rims increase the strength and durability you expect in a ZIZE Bike. One of the reasons A New Leaf XG is so versatile is the wide (26” x 2.10”) tires with high thread count. These tires are ideal for multi-surface use, making the bike more stable on softer surface conditions like gravel and giving you more speed on smoother, harder surfaces like paved bike-paths. The puncture-proof tire liners give you increased safety and confidence.

The Brakes

On a bike designed to be safe for heavy riders, the quality and strength of the brake system is of the utmost importance. For A New Leaf XG we have chosen Clark M2F hydraulic disc brakes for their superior stopping power. The twin piston calipers of the M2 deliver superb braking performance in all weather conditions. Supported by a sleek and compact lever design, this braking system provides exceptional reliability and consistent performance.

The Handlebars

The wide, upright handlebars with a substantial adjustable stem allow for an upright, ergonomic, cycling position around town and on the trails.

The Saddle and Seatpost

The seat, otherwise known as the saddle, is a wider, shock-absorbing seat with a double-clamped, chromoly steel, seat post to keep the saddle securely in place. Be sure to have the bike shop set the proper seat height for maximum comfort – See the R.I.D.E.S. program (“Ride It Daily Extended Service”) for assembly, maintenance, and more.
