I am beyond satisfied with this chair. It gets me around better than any chair I have owned in the past. I am a Disabled Veteran with a Service Dog and we go everywhere with it. I love being able to go on hiking trails, zoos, shopping, etc and this chair allows me to do so with ease and comfort. The long battery life is very helpful as I do not have to charge it so often. It is very sturdy and made to very high standards. I constantly get compliments on the chair from friends and even strangers. Also, Porto Mobility has the most amazing and helpful customer service of any company that I have dealt with in the past 60 years.

I have bought other porto mobility products in the past and liked them. However, the Beast is at another level!! Well named. Goes up steep inclines through heavy grass and bumpy paths comfortably and safely. I would highly recommend this chair to anyone who is going out beyond sidewalks and malls and actually out on some trails And ‘off the road’ to the extent that is possible in a wheelchair. I give it my highest rating. Definitely worth it in terms of adding a huge quality of life component. Very pleased.

Well named and made, but the speed and direction lever was difficult to control for me. I would prefer a better descriptive manual. For equipment at this price I would think the company could do a better job to help manipulate everything easier for older people like me.

I bought this chair for my husband so he could keep taking care of his farm animals. Our land is very uneven and hilly. This chair is amazing, it literally goes anywhere on the farm. My husband weights 235 lbs. and zips right along. I can’t say enough good things about this chair, and how it has assisted my husband. I would highly recommend this chair,it even goes on sand with ease. This chair has allowed Jack to continue doing what he loves.

This chair is great. I’m able to walk short distances but night this chair so that I can still get out and get around. The chair is very easy to get into and comfortable for longer use. I haven’t had the chance to test distance on it yet but I’ve been running it for a week on the initial charge. It is very easy to fold and unfold and fits well in my SUV.The features are great. It has a very small turning radius. The charging port in under the control pod and easily accessible. It even has a USB port if you need to charge your phone. Controls are simple and easy to use. I’ll update this later once I get to test the range but so far I’m thoroughly impressed and happy I made the purchase.

I’ve been using this chair for nearly 2 years and there is a lot to like about it, but there are also some things I wish I had known before buying it. First- it is BIG and heavy and lifting it into a vehicle is awful! Unless you are strong enough to turn it sideways, you’ll have to lower seats in order for it to fit. If you are needing to install a lift for your car, it is another $5000 because it will be a custom lift to make it work. Before buying it, make sure you know how you will transport it. There is a reason the video they show has a 400Lb “linebacker” man loading it into an SUV. lol I am 5’2″ and this chair is so big that my feet literally dangle. Customer care offered to send out a thinner cushion not once, but twice to resolve this but I never received it. It is called The Beast for a reason. it is big and powerful. It handles uneven sidewalks, cobblestone, hills, bumps, crossing train tracks, and even Florida’s sugar sand and grassy fields (like Farmer’s markets) like a dream! There is a learning curve to using the joy stick. Since the front wheels swivel, backing straight up is a challenge. They claim going through doorways is easy…..well… if you are coming straight at the door yes. If you are coming off a sidewalk and need to make a 90 degree turn to go into a store it is difficult to fit and often people end up opening both doors to speed things along. The cup holder is useless as it can hold a water bottle but no reusable cup fits. Why only 3 stars? The stuff mentioned above is all minor really because it’s a well built chair. I docked 2 stars for what I see as a safety issue. There is no master off switch. There is a power button near the joy stick BUT I have repeatedly had someone walking by bump it with a purse or something and once they also hit the joy stick. This LAUNCHED me into the table. I was in tears…and it took 3 people from surrounding tables to help us as it pushed my husband back against the wall when it pushed the table forward. Keep in mind, I had parked the chair, and turned it off. This was an accident, but when I called to talk to them and merely give feedback that their design team could use going forward they didn’t seem to care and did not have anyone call back. For this reason, I recommended it with caution. this is like the sports car of wheel chairs.

This is my first electric chair and it exudes quality. It is fast when you need it and feels solid as a rock in all maneuvers. Being my first chair I’m not sure if other chairs have the same problems but I have some problems maneuvering between forward and backward or backward and forward. The front wheels are massive and they take several inches to switch between forward position and backward position. This had caused me to run into walls several times and once I nearly went over the step in the sunken living room. I’ve gotten used to this and watch for it but it still annoys me.The second problem I have is the width of the seat. I weigh close to 500 pounds and my massive behind does not fit between the armrests so I use the chair with one arm down. I’ve been considering making a ‘Z’ bracket that would give me a couple of inches more on one or both sides. It would be nice if they offered something like it for this chair.Other than the two issues I have and one is on me, I find the chair gives me confidence to go out and I trust it’ll get me where I need to go. It’s a monster really, no doubt about it, and should be a long time companion.

The wheelchair would not work for our application, we had to return it, we received a full refund. Their customer service is outstanding.
