David A. Ackerman –
As I have said a couple times, I don’t usually write reviews but I had to put a lot of work in to find the right chair for my wife and I. I’m a big guy, 6’7″ 305lbs and when my wife asked me to get a couple of these for going to our R/C Flight club or down to the river, I knew I had my work cut out for me.She wanted to get these $34 cooler chairs and while those are nice, they’re not super sturdy at the best of times, especially not with someone my size sitting in them. I did some research and after going through several “heavy duty” chairs and trying a bunch at the local stores, we decided to get a set of these. They showed up and after unboxing, they were in a really nice storage bag. Not one of those super thin ones either. It’s got some kind of lining on the inside material or so it looked to me. Nice and durable.Set up is easy, just unfold and have a seat! The blue version from the company comes with a nice bag for your magazine or phone, and a swing out cup holder (the black did not, important to note…it was $10 cheaper). The metal is nicely coated tube design and very firm feeling. Not that flimsy aluminum stuff, this is a steel frame chair. Material feels thick and sturdy, something that is going to hold up pretty well with some simple care. The arms are a solid tube so you can rest on them with ease, again, not a floppy piece of cloth. Use them to get up and sit down, they can take it. Feet are on a rocker design so they’ll adapt to weird ground but have little treads so they don’t slide around once you set it up. The seat doesn’t have weird plastic rivets on the side (Like the $34 dollar one did) and it doesn’t have a metal bar under the front of the cloth digging into your thighs. Speaking of the seat, did I mention it was roomy? My tookus fit with room to spare and relax and spread out in. You’re not going to get pinched here if you know what I mean.Folding it up took about 5 seconds to figure out. Stand in back of the chair and pull the arms towards you and inwards. It DID fit back into the bag too which was nice because if you’ve done camping gear before, you know that’s usually impossible.Overall I couldn’t be more pleased with these (so far) and I figured, since I had to work my butt off to find something that would fit me, be sturdy and be comfortable, I’d leave a review so someone else doesn’t have to work as hard as I did to find something good.If I had to give it a con, it weighs like 16 pounds in the bag. Heavy? Meh…it’s heavier than the $34 one than came in at 8 pounds but it’s a *steel* framed chair, it’s going to weigh more. Maybe if you’re looking for a chair to haul up a mountain or go hiking with, this isn’t it. If you’re going to go somewhere, haul them out of your car, 16 pounds is nothing and I’d have some really serious problems if I couldn’t handle that LOL.Long story short, if you’re looking for a great big guy chair, this is it. It costs more but you’re getting solid quality that is comfortable. I’d rather pay more for something I can use season after season instead of it breaking at the end of the summer and I have to get another.

My husband is a big guy so those mesh chairs just don’t cut it. All the fabric is double thick and sturdy. Nice and roomy so me and the little dog can sit in it. I am shorter so I love the head support. Good looking, sturdy, comfortable chair that is easy to setup and break down.

This chair is sturdy, comfortable, wide and high quality. Only problem I have is the opening of the chair. That’s on my part, not the manufacturer. I bought one then I order another one after testing the 1st chair.

As a big guy, this chair is EASILY the best camping chair I’ve ever ued. It’s INCREDIBLY sturdy, comfortable, it doesn’t sag, it’s WIDEEE, the arms straps are solid metal with padding on top and don’t slide down or push out when you get up (like most chairs do!), It has an awesome tiny insulated cooler on the left pocket for a couple drinks, a cupholder, and a spot to put your phone. A genuinely, well thought out product. My only gripes are that it is fairly heavy at about ~16 pounds, it’s a lot longer collapsed than most chairs (leaving you prone to accidentally whacking someone with it or dragging it on the ground), and the strap on the carrying bag ABSOLUTELY needs to be longer – and ideally adjustable like a strap on a backpack. Taking care of some of those issues and this would literally be a perfect chair.

I’m 5’10” and 380 pounds. It is very difficult to find a sturdy, comfortable camping chair. This one is pretty good.Pros:Very solid feeling. I like the armrests, they make it very easy to get up. Also, it is taller than most chairs like it. Which is also great. I have bad knees. I have a hard time standing up from “normal” height chairs. This is just a bit taller.Cons:There is a support bar running under the seat. The canvas has stretched a little from use, so now I am sitting on the bar, which is not the most comfortable. I also wish the back was leaned back just a little more, it’s a little too upright for me. The cupholder gets pushed under the seat when you sit down. So you have to remember to push it back out before trying to set your drink in itthe side pocket thing is ok. Not something I would use very often.

Big man chair.
Purchased for my husband. He loves it. He is 5’10” and 320lbs. Very active. This chair suits him well. Substantially build. I know he would collapse it when he sits in it. Nice high headrest on it for when he is at the campfire. Great storage pockets. Easily folds and easy to get into storage bag. Weights more than to carry however not an issue for him. Would recommend for bigger guys.

Truly durable, suitable for bigger bodies
This chair is the sturdiness foldable chair, and still comfortable after sitting for a few hours. High back so supports your head. Lots of pockets and a drink holder that folds away.I bit heavy, but a durable bag and comfortable for bigger bodies.

I recommend these
I should have bought this years ago.Excellent support. The feet are wider than the low-end chairs I had so this won’t sink in the sand.Pockets are handy, good build.Cup hold folds in so it’s out of the way when not in use.I will be keeping an eye out for thieves, to be honest. This is an excellent chair, better than most.

Good chair
I’m a big guy, this chair is pretty well built. I’ve used it about 7 times now and no complaints, it’s comfortable and the side pockets are excellent. Would recommend this chair.

Extremely solid but way too heavy !
Extremely well made, the most comfortable outdoor, camping or event spectator chair I ever sat on. Easily held my weight (over 350 lbs). Only problem, the chair weighs nearly 18 lbs and is too heavy to carry, even with the strap. So unless you think you can tote an 18 lbs chair on your back, you should search for a lighter chair.
