We bought it and put it on an it worked fine the first day. Then the next day it didn’t work so we bought another battery and it was fine. The next day it didn’t work so we started looking at it a little closer and found out it doesn’t turn off automatically. I believe the directions said it would but ours didn’t. I would look for something else or go to a place where you can take something back like Wal.

Tough install. Would recommend a higher quality device.

Update: After messing with this thing for several weeks I find it to be completely unreliable. It’ll read great one day and the next day it will vary between showing zero MPH and 15 MPH. I don’t know if the cell phone that I carry interferes with the wireless signal or what but this thing does not work well at all. What I wrote below was how I felt in the middle of my trials. The physical installation is not difficult – tie wraps and such. No big deal. What is difficult is working out the distances along with the particular configuration of your bike. The distance from the computer to the sensor is critical. You get beyond or even close to the 60cm distance from the computer to the sensor and you will get very erratic readings or no readings at all. Same with the 3mm distance between the sensor and magnet. 3mm is about 1/8 of an inch!I have a trail bike with wide forks. That presented an issue in getting the sensor close to the magnet AND also having the sensor not too far away from the computer. I had to try about 8 or 10 configurations where I finally ended up with the sensor tie wrapped on the INSIDE of the fork up close to the brakes (had to keep within the 60cm distance from sensor to computer) which allowed me to get the sensor and magnet within the 3mm distance as well.Once I got those distances happy and figured out how to mount the sensor in the wide fork spacing, everything worked great! Nice features on the computer and you can tune the wheel diameter to get the mileage distance more accurate.

I have had 3 of these over the years, and the 3rd one quit today 12/4/23. I bought it in January. I have used it while indoors, on my Blackburn. I quit working today? Has not been exposed to weather, been in a controlled indoor area, so not sure why it quit. Tried a different sender, from an old one, replaced both batteries and tried resetting the control unit. Still will not pick up signal? All I really care about is Speed and distance, so hate to spend a lot of money on a “fancy” one, or one that does more than I need it too.

Works great, this is my second one ordered.

Perfect for young kids who love to see how fast they pedal and how far they have gone

Worked well at first then started acting up intermittently after a few days. Now will not work at all. Display will not indicate speed. Tried everything including resetting everything, adjusting the magnet, and moving the display closer to the unit on the fork but no go. I can hear clicking coming from the part that connects to the fork but the display does not change from 0. Returning unit. I will give them the benefit of the doubt and try another one because I like the simplicity of the unit (hence two stars).

The price and the ease of installation
The price that it was easy to install and was very straight forward to program. You must read and follow the instructions. I use it to mainly keep track of my speed and distance travelled. Also too I like that I can p program for KM or MILES per hour. Oh one other thing no wires, great.

Works well, but only if attached to front wheel
It was relatively easy to install and works well. For me, the fact that it only works in the front wheel is an issue since I often use my bike mounted to the trainer indoors.
