Mount to the Frame not to the Axle.
Our Patented Heavy Duty Adult bike training wheels are the strongest and most durable bike training wheel kit on the market. They are made of tubular steel much like the frame of the bike. They do not attach to the axle which is a weak mounting point. They mount to the rear chain and seat stays on either side of the bicycle frame using special plastic coated u-bolts. This kit is great for any adult who lacks proper balance on a bicycle.
Each side is under 13 inches in Length.
When mounted properly each stabilizer wheel should be about 1/2 – 1 inch off of the ground and teeter much like a traditional bicycle training wheel kit would. Installation is easy and the bicycle stabilizer wheel kit can be removed at any time. Simple hand tools required for installation of these bike training wheels. Will fit through a standard doorway!
The total width of the stabilizer wheels is under 30 inches once mounted properly, which means they will fit through a standard doorway. Some people keep these training wheels on permanently and store the bicycle indoors. This width is also important for those that bicycle carriers and automobile bike racks. You will also still fit on a standard sidewalk, through hallways, and you no longer need to use your bike kickstand!
Actual bike tires with tubes are included!
Each Training wheel set comes with two 16 inch tubes with inflatable tires and axles just like on a traditional bike. This is one of the reasons why our kit is able to support so much weight. This kit is a great alternative to buying an adult tricycle. Our kit will mount to any traditional “diamond” shaped bicycle which includes cruisers, mountain bikes, and commuter bikes as long as the original bike has a 24 – 27 inch tyre. Please note this kit will not work with a folding bike, and electric bicycle, or a recumbent bicycle.
