You can see I haven’t removed the plastic yet based on other reviews that the screen scratches easily. To be removed and a protector installed soon. After two weeks I can say this works well in sunny and cloudy weather. Haven’t used it in rain or at night. I did have to remove the plastic protector on the camera to install on my seat mount. It would not fit otherwise. But other than that installation went smoothly. Picture is clear. Hard to see very far behind the trailer but I purchased this mainly so I could monitor my son on the trailer. Works really well on sunny days and so so for that purpose on cloudy days. But that is more related to the sun protection on my trailer that makes it harder to see. Seems like one charge should last at least 6 hours. Overall very happy with this purchase. Great value for the price.

After purchasing a new E bike I happened to find this product on Amazon, just browsing one day. But honestly, looking at the price of this rear Camera/monitor, I really did not know what to expect in regards to quality of picture, ease of installation, etc. I went ahead and purchased this product, and I could not be any happier, and it exceeded my expectations “by a lot”Installation was very easy and straightforward, and getting the rear camera aligned was very easy…I did it in my apartment, and I adjusted the camera to where I could just see the top of my rear tire, making sure that the camera was right side up, and not upside down. My very first ride it was perfectly adjusted…Great clarity, and a very wide angle viewI was almost shocked at the clarity of the picture, and I was really amazed at the very first vehicle that I saw behind me, as I watched it from a distance slowly move over, and then pass me. On the paved trail that I ride on quite frequently it was nice to see other cyclists approaching me, so I can move over if need be, and expecting them to be there. I was worried about the glare on the screen, and while there is some glare, I would say 90% of the time you can see the display perfectly clear, and the other 10% of the time you may have to move your head a little bit, or you can quickly put your hand over the display to remove the glare. I think I was more worried about the glare than anything, but really it’s a moot point. At around $65.00, this is a true bargain, and works better than I ever could’ve imagined, for something at that price (I would’ve paid three times that amount, and still would’ve been amazed)If you simply want to see vehicles behind you clearly, with no frills, you will be happy with this rear camera and monitor. The battery also lasts longer than expected, and my first ride was around two hours, my second ride for was for around two hours, and I still had half the battery life left (i’m not sure if it was fully charged to be honest) But it’s easy to takeoff the bike and charge, so I simply charge it every other day, that way I know it’s charged and I don’t need to worry about it.

the lcd is a little big and does take room up on your bar but if you don’t a lot on it should be ok. The screen is very clear and the color is great. you get a very wide view of what is behind you on both sides. Mounting the lcd was easy but practice while unmounted removing the lcd from the mount as its a little tricky until you are used to it.On the camera, do a little positioning and fitting before the final mounting as the views can be set several ways and angles. There are plastic coverings on both the camera and lcd which should be removed for full clarity. Now for what needs to be improved.1 The included instructions need to have more info. How long should you take to charge it, How to access the menu. How to darken or brighten the screen. What other settings can be used with the screen.2. Parts. there needs to be access to replacement parts for the camera and lcd mounts. Per me contacting the company there are none. Over tightening, a fall over, a crash and could cause a break and then a search to try and find something that would work. A extension cable. while the included on worked for me, I saw several reviews from those who needed something longer.Of course you will hear others say you don’t need that, even if you bought it. if you like it and it will work for you, to hell with what others think GET IT……

It works very well. Good low-light operation, good bright-light operation. But in the end, I removed it from my bike and installed a mirror only because when mounted to my handlebars, the unit is out of my field of view. I have to look down to see the screen, thus making it useless for being able to see, out of the corner of my eye, traffic that is coming up behind me. If this unit had a mounting option that raised it twelve inches, into my field of view, then it would be ideal.I will use this for some other purpose, such as keeping an eye on the driveway of my house.

Good, clear picture from camera, glare is an issue.
The screen clarity is very good, the camera has good dynamic range so it reacts well to the changing lighting conditions, and is true wide screen aspect ratio unlike some others that stretch the image. However, the screen has a reflective coating, not anti-glare. This can be remedied with a cheap anti-glare smartphone protector. I had some from an old iPhone that fit properly after trimming. Also, the mounting for both the screen and the camera is of poor design, and is rather large plastic knobs where it can be challenging to clamp around the handlebar where you have cables and linkages, if you happen to already have something mounted in the middle like a smartphone or a bike computer and it sticks out by like 2 inches forward. You cannot have it mounted more flush with the handlebar with the included bracket.I modified both the handlebar and camera mounts to fit my bike better, basically detaching the ball swivel from the clamp mechanism and attached it to my own mounting on the handlebar and the camera under the rear tail light.

Rear view camera and display
A great safety addition to my bike whilst commuting on busy roads, allows me to see vehicular approaching from the rear, as wind noise masks the sound of approaching vehicles

A good solution for the price
It’s limitations are kind of expected the screen can be hard to see in bright direct light. I find the angle is a bit too wide I would rather have less viewing range but larger image. A bigger screen would be nice to. But for the price it’s great. I tried mirrors I couldn’t find ones that worked and the fancy ones are getting close to the price of this. The camera is wired to the screen which is actually good because you only need to charge one thing. Overall I feel safer driving with it and it is way better than the (mirrors all be it cheapies) that I tried. Oh it works quite well in the dark too, the image goes black and white but you can see what is going on.

bike video mirror
Got this product a few days ago. I gave it a full charge and then set a timer and left it on as wanted to see how long battery lasts as description said upto 10hrs. As expected it was exaggerated a little. i Got 6hrs until it shut off. still happy with that though as will do job i want and i have backup having ebike with usb on the bike battery to which i can plug camera in if needed. bought item at about £58 so good price too even if dropped down another £1 . lets hope it stays working well .
