Are you often caught up with too many things that are happening in your life? Have you ever felt like 24 hours and your two hands are no longer enough to get all things done on time?
If this is your case, then you are one of the many people in the world who needs time to relax, sit back for a while, and breathe. It is pretty ironic to realize that a person who is too busy, who has a very long list of to-do things needs some idle time. But it is true, the more busy you are, the more you need some idle time. This is if you do not want to go nuts with all the physical, mental, and emotional stress and anxieties associated with your too-congested every day schedule.
It’s about time you give yourself some “me-time.” Mothers who juggle many tasks daily, hard-working men and women who badly need to work for their families’ needs, equally diligent and workaholic business owners who will literally get sick if they don’t get their hands on something definitely need some time for themselves. And biking can be the perfect “me-time.”
You simply hop on your bike and pedal away in a place where you can be alone, have a chance to unwind, and take a little break from all work at home or at the working place. You can ride to your favorite place in town, grab your favorite drink or flavor of ice cream, and do some of the things you love the most which you basically set aside for some time because you were too busy.
If you live near the sea, you can ride to the beach, sit on the sand, ponder about your personal goals, and perhaps watch the sunset. Or, you can ride to a street market and grab something for yourself; ride without a destination in mind and see where spontaneity brings you; or go on a solo adventure and rediscover the beauty of solitude.
If you barely remember the answers to the following questions then you should definitely give yourself a break. When was the last time you were alone and free from any work or worries even for a few hours? When was the last time you actually saw the magnificence of the sun as it sets? When was the last time you shop something for yourself?
Can’t remember when? Then go ride your bike and pedal away to relaxation, freedom, and solitude. You deserve it.
