Ever wonder why there are movies and even television commercials which incorporate an actual bike in a scene of two people? There must be some logic behind this. But actually, you do not really have to think deeper. It is simply because biking is really romantic.
If you are tired of pizzas, movies, a walk to a park, or eating out, try getting your special someone for a bike date. You could actually get to do all of those if you want to. But I think there is no other thing more romantic than biking with someone special. How much more romantic could it get if you can do that in a completely romantic place like the Golden Gate in San Francisco, the Romantic Road in Germany, or along the banks of Seine in Paris? But wherever you are in the world, bike riding always has that romantic essence.
Your romantic bike date can be so flexible. You can bike in a busy city, stop for a pizza or a refreshing fruit shake, or simply stop in a view deck overlooking the magnificence of the city and have a nice talk. If it rains, then let it be! It will be more fun and exciting! But if you prefer not getting wet, you could stop in a nice place and talk about your favorite thing to eat on a chilly and rainy day.
Or, if you want to get away from the sights and sounds of a busy city and get a little privacy, you can try a midnight bike and enjoy the city lights and the breeze; ride hand in hand under a short bridge; find a picturesque spot and take a photo or linger for a kiss. But if you want a totally new and refreshing environment, try a bike date on the country side, along banks, rivers, or creeks, or you might as well track a mountain trail if you are a nature lover and a bit sporty.
It is also a unique idea to bike along a grape vine yard, a wheat field, or a sunflower or tulip field. Ladies love flowers, there’s no doubt about that. And seeing them in another perspective aside from in a vase or arranged in a bouquet is very romantic in a totally different way.
Honeymoon bike tours are popular in Europe and in the United States. Again, it is simply because it is truly romantic. I think the word “just” at the back of the groom’s saddle and the word “married” at the back of the bride’s is uniquely romantic and cute.
When you reach your fifties or sixties, you and your darling could go on a bike date and also try to stretch some brittle bones and look back at the many milestones you had together. Go to an ice cream parlor and have your favorite flavor just like the old days. You could walk your bike while talking about your grandkids and probably drop by a shop and grab some candy bars for them.
What’s more romantic than that?
